Do I need to bring my own toiletries?
It’s better to bring your own or buy here. We only provide shampoo and shower gel.
Do you provide linen and quilt on the bed?
Yes. We provide pillow, sheet, and quilt. You don’t need to take anything of bedding.
Can I rent bicycles from your hostel?
Yes. You can rent bicycles from our hostel and you need to pay a certain amount as deposit when you rent.
Can I exchange money at your hostel reception?
I am sorry that we can't exchange money for you in our hostel. You can exchange at Bank of China that is not far from us.
Is there any bank around your hostel that I can exchange money?
Yes. There are Bank of China (BOC), Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), and China Construction Bank (CCB) in the neighborhood. Please check in “Around Us” under “About Us” in the navigation bar.
Is there any ATM that I can withdraw some cash nearby your hostel?
Yes. There is an ATM booth of ICBC just 50 meters from us on the same street.
How far is the nearest subway station from your hostel? And what line and what station is it?
The nearest subway station is Nan Luo Gu Xiang (南锣鼓巷) station. It is the transfer station between line 6 and line 8, around 400 meters from us.
Is there any supermarket nearby your hostel?
Yes. There are two supermarkets nearby our hostel and some small convenience stores as well. Please see the details in “Around Us”.
Where can I have meal?
There are a lot of restaurants along the streets and in the alleys. You can use the dining-room for staff if you have some packed food.
Where can I have good roasted Peking Duck in the neighborhood?
There are two roast duck restaurants nearby. One is Qi Tian Lou roast duck restaurant in Gu Lou East Street; the other is Quan Ju De (famous brand) roast duck at the area of Hou Hai Lake.
Is there any must-see or something interesting nearby your hostel?
Yonghegong Lama Temple is only 4 kilometers away from us in the northeast; Houhai Lake is only 1 kilometer in the west and there you have Prince Kung’s Mansion.
What are the must-sees in Beijing?
The Great Wall (several parts: Jinshanling, Mutianyu, Jiankou, Huanghuacheng, Badaling, etc.), Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square (together with Forbidden City), Summer Palace; Temple of Heaven, and Ming Mausoleums; then if you have time and convenience, there are Yonghegong Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, Prince Kung’s Mansion, and Bird’s Nest & Water Cube (Olympic Stadium).
How can I go to the Forbidden City easily from your hostel?
You can take the bus (No. 5) at the bus stop “Gu Lou”(鼓楼), and get off at Tian’an Men West（天安门西）; and you can also take subway Line 6, and transfer to Line 5 at Dong Si（东四）, and then transfer to Line 1 at Dong Dan（东单）, and then get off at Tian’an Men East station（天安门东）. The entrance of Forbidden City is just inside the tower of Tian'an Men (under the big portrait of Chairman Mao).
How can I go to the Summer Palace(颐和园) easily from your hostel?
You can take subway Line 6, and transfer to Line 4 at Ping An Li (平安里), and then get off at Bei Gong Men(北宫门). It is the north gate of Summer Palace(颐和园).
How can I go to the Lama Temple(雍和宫) and Confucius Temple(孔庙) easily from your hostel?
You can take the bus (No. 13) at the stop “Luo Gu Xiang”(锣鼓巷), and get off at “Yong He Gong” (雍和宫, Lama Temple). The Confucius Temple is quite close to the Lama Temple.
